  • What is an FAQ section?
    An FAQ section can be used to quickly answer common questions about your business like "Where do you ship to?", "What are your opening hours?", or "How can I book a service?".
  • What is a LiveScan (Electronic) Fingerprinting?
    It is a way to capture fingerprints without messy ink in a digitalized format. Once completed, it transmitting directly to the State Agency or FBI.
  • How do I get the results?
    Gulf Coast Fingerprinting does not see any of the results. The information is sent electronically directly to requesting agency or potential employer.
  • Why do FAQs matter?
    FAQs are a great way to help site visitors find quick answers to common questions about your business and create a better navigation experience.
  • How long does it take for the results?
    For State of Florida (FDLE), it typically takes 2-5 business days. For FBI, the results can take 5 minutes to 8 hours. We do not issue any refunds under any circumstances once the scan has been submitted. Please be certain that the information you have provided is accurate.
  • Where can I add my FAQs?
    FAQs can be added to any page on your site or to your Wix mobile app, giving access to members on the go.
  • What if my fingerprints were rejected?
    All of our technicians are certified. We use the latest software and best product to enhance your fingerprints correctly, the first time! Sometimes, however, prints do get rejected. Contact us & provide the TCR number, we will get them done again!
  • How long will the appointment take?
    Each appointment takes less than 15 minutes.
  • What is an ORI number?
    The Originating Agency Identification (ORI) number tell the Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE) why you need the background check and to whom to send the results. Typically starts with 2-5 letters followed by numbers to make a 9-digit code. You MUST provide the ORI number. If you do not provide the correct ORI number, it will not go to the correct agency.
  • What is the OCA number?
    The Originating Case Agency (OCA) number is the numeric destination for the entities requesting the prints. It is only applicable for ACHA, DCF and Medicaid Applicants
  • What is a VECHS number?
    The V/E Criminal History System (VECHS) is typically used by schools and daycares. 'V' for Volunteers & 'E' for Employees.
  • What is the Clearinghouse?
    If your background check is for the Agency for Healthcare Administration (ACHA), Department of Health (DOH), Department of Elder Affairs (DOEA) or Department of Children and Families (DCF), your background check will go through a system called 'The Clearinghouse'.
  • What do I need for my appointment?
    You must have: 1. VALID Government-Issued Photo ID (Passport, Drivers License, State ID, Military ID or Resident Alien Card) 2. Social Security Card 3. ORI or OCN number
  • Can I use recent prints to apply for another professional license?
    No. Your prints cannot be shared between professions or other agencies. You are required to have separate prints for each license you are applying for.
